Responsibilities include:
- Prepares drawings using Autodesk Takeoff for use by the team.
- Creates and modifies drawings from sketches, existing drawings, verbal descriptions, and by conferring with project architects and engineers.
- Understands and follows the company’s standard procedures for all project delivery.
- Responsible for monitoring project design hours and for monitoring timeliness of design deliverables.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineers or Project Managers of the firm.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and clients.
- Support the engineering team by creating figures and construction plans for a variety of public transportation and utility infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules
- Assist engineers with tasks such as drafting and design, creation / editing of technical drawings and materials for submittal packages.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Takeoff software for civil engineering for land, municipal, and commercial development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Must have experience with land development and municipal site development types of clients.
- Ability to take verbal direction and implement into drawings and calculations to produce the final work
- Good communication skills and strong understanding of plan clarity
- Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
